Name & Date on Photo

Type your name and the date, upload your photo, and download it with a neat white name-and-date strip below the photo — exactly the format exam boards ask for.

Date of photo

0 = automatic size based on photo width. The name & date appear in a white strip below the photo — the photo itself is not printed on.

Filling a specific exam application?

The name & date step is built into the Photo tab of every exam page, next to that exam's exact photo size — so you can resize and add the strip in one visit:

UPSC photo with name & date → SSC photo with name & date → IBPS photo →

Many candidates lose marks — or the entire application — over a small detail: the photograph must carry the candidate's name and the date the photo was taken. Studios do this by printing text at the bottom of the print, and that is exactly what this tool reproduces digitally. Your name and date are set in bold black type on a white strip added below the image; nothing is drawn over your face or the photo area, which matters because several boards explicitly reject photos with writing across them. After downloading, if your portal also has a strict pixel or KB limit, run the result through the matching page of the Exam Photo Resizer (for example the SSC preset) to finish the file at the exact specification. Write the name exactly as it appears in your application, and use the date format and photo-recency window your current notification specifies.

Frequently asked questions

Should the name and date be printed on the photo or below it?

Exam instructions ask for the name and date on a strip below the photograph, not written across the photo itself. This tool adds a clean white strip under your photo with your name and date in bold — the photo above stays untouched.

Which exams ask for name and date on the photo?

SSC and several state and central recruitment boards have required a name-and-date photograph in various cycles. Always check your current notification — if it asks for it, the photo must also usually be recent (taken within the period the notification states).

Can I change the text size?

Yes. The size is automatic by default, or you can set it yourself with the slider. The preview updates instantly.
