| Exam | Signature size | File size |

| LIC AAO | 140 × 60 px | 10–20 KB |
| SSC CGL / CHSL / MTS / GD | 140 × 60 px frame | 10–20 KB (SSC prescribes KB, not pixels) |
| RRB NTPC (CEN 06/2026) | 140 × 60 px minimum | 30–49 KB |
| GATE | 250 × 80 to 580 × 180 px (tool: 280 × 80) | 3–300 KB |
| NEET UG | 275 × 118 px | As per notification |
| AIIMS (6 × 3 cm at 200 DPI) | 472 × 236 px | 10–50 KB, name: Signature.jpg |
A signature is wide and short, so it needs a different tool than a photo. Normal photo resizers crop the image to fill the frame — applied to a signature, that cuts off the first or last letters and the upload gets rejected or, worse, mismatches the signature on your admit card. This tool instead scales the whole signature down to fit the exact frame and fills the remaining space with white, so every letter survives. Sign with a dark pen on plain white paper, take a straight photo in good light, and if the paper looks grey or the ink looks faint, run it through the Signature Enhancer first to get pure black ink on pure white. Always cross-check the size against your exam's current official notification before submitting.
Frequently asked questions
What is the signature size for banking exams like IBPS and SBI?
Banking exams (IBPS, SBI, RBI and LIC AAO) ask for a signature of 140 × 60 pixels with a file size between 10 KB and 20 KB, in JPG format — this is the size given in the official IBPS CRP PO/MT-XVI scanning guidelines, and SBI, RBI and LIC use the same annexure.
What is the signature size for RRB NTPC?
In the latest RRB NTPC notification pattern (CEN 06/2026) the signature must be between 30 KB and 49 KB, with a minimum size of 140 × 60 pixels at 100 DPI. Pick the RRB NTPC preset above — it lands your file inside that tight band.
What is the signature size for GATE?
GATE 2026 accepts a signature from 250 × 80 pixels up to 580 × 180 pixels, between 3 KB and 300 KB, in JPEG format. This tool uses 280 × 80 pixels, safely inside the official range.
Will my signature be cropped?
No. This resizer fits your complete signature inside the frame on a white background — it never cuts off any part of your signature, which is the most common reason portals reject signature uploads.
What file name should I use?
Most portals accept any name, but AIIMS specifically asks for the file to be named Signature.jpg — this tool saves it with that name automatically when you pick the AIIMS preset.
