AIIMS applications (including NORCET, BSc and PG/INI-CET) require three separate uploads: photograph, signature and left thumb impression. The thumb impression is the one candidates struggle with most, because a phone photo of an ink print is grey, uneven and far larger than 50 KB. This tool fixes all three problems at once: it cleans the print to pure black lines on a pure white background, resizes it to exactly 315 × 236 pixels, and compresses the JPG into the 10–50 KB window, saving it with the exact file name AIIMS asks for. Take the impression with a blue or black ink pad on white paper, photograph it straight from above in daylight, then adjust the threshold slider until the ridge lines are sharp but the paper is fully white. Always verify the current cycle's instructions on the official AIIMS exams portal before final submission.
Frequently asked questions
What is the AIIMS left thumb impression size?
AIIMS asks for a left thumb impression of 4 × 3 cm scanned at 200 DPI, which is 315 × 236 pixels, with a file size between 10 KB and 50 KB. The file should be named Left Thumb Impression.jpg.
What is the thumb impression size for IBPS and SBI banking exams?
Banking exams (IBPS PO/Clerk/RRB, SBI, RBI and LIC AAO) require a left thumb impression of 240 × 240 pixels at 200 DPI (a 3 × 3 cm box), with a file size between 20 KB and 50 KB, in JPG format. Pick the Banking preset above. If you cannot use your left thumb, the IBPS guidelines allow the right thumb, then a finger of the left hand — mention it in the application as the guidelines describe.
My thumb photo looks grey and unclear. Will this help?
Yes. The enhancer converts your photo to pure black print lines on a pure white background and removes grey shadows. Use the threshold slider: move it left if fine lines vanish, right if grey patches stay.
How do I take a good thumb impression photo?
Press your left thumb on a blue or black ink pad, roll it lightly on plain white paper, and photograph it straight from above in bright light without shadows.
